GLOW Newcastle’s mission is to create opportunities for children and young people to engage in making art and culture.

Our aim is for young people in Newcastle to see working in our creative and cultural industries as a real and viable career path, irrespective of background or economic status.

Current Residencies:

Storytelling through Movement and Visual Art in partnership with South Gosforth First School and artist John Quinn.

Put Your Stamp on It: Graffiti / Mural Art / Wall Art, Personal Identity and Shared Ownership of Space in partnership with Mary Astell Academy and artist Dan Walls.

Spark, Mix, Connect: Our Art, Our Way in partnership with Newcastle Bridges School

Build up STEAM: Create to Empower in partnership with Newcastle College Childcare and Teacher Training Department

Listen Up, Speak Out, Pass the Mic! in partnership with Jonluke McKie and Hawthorn Primary School in Elswick

Our Quest: Growing our Path in partnership with Sacred Heart Primary School and Sacred Heart Secondary School in Fenham

Stand Up, Speak Out: My Voice My Choice in partnership with Walker Riverside Academy and Northern Roots, in Walker

Autumn Transformations: Turn yourself into a Colour Change Catcher, a Falling Leaves Forager, a Hibernation Hunter, a Migration Mapper, and a Specialist Spotter of Shifting Seasons with Atkinson Road Primary Academy in Benwell
